As in the case of workers in the private sector, the FGTS is a benefit that every public servant is entitled to. The legal entity employer is required to deposit a monthly amount corresponding to 8% of the server’s monthly remuneration in an FGTS account. This balance can be withdrawn in the same situations as the FGTS of private initiative workers.

Withdrawal

To withdraw the PIS/PASEP/FGTS, it is necessary to have the Citizen Card and the registered password. If you don’t have the Citizen’s Card, you can withdraw the benefit at a Caixa Econômica Federal or Banco do Brasil agency. If you have a checking or savings account at Caixa Econômica Federal, you can request the benefit credit directly to your account.

Withdrawals can also be carried out at lottery outlets and Caixa Aqui correspondents, with the presentation of the Citizen Card and an identification document with a photo. The maximum amount that can be withdrawn is BRL 1,100.00.
